Is VH1′s reality series Megan Wants a Millionaire gone for good? That’s likely, thanks to the fact that contestant Ryan Jenkins is wanted for the murder of his ex-wife.

In an unprecedented reality TV shocker, VH1 has cancelled its hit reality dating show, Megan Wants a Millionaire, on August 22, 2009. Why? One of Megan’s suitors on the show, Ryan Alexander Jenkins, is currently wanted by police for the murder of model Jasmine Fiore. In response to the case, VH1 suspended the show without further notice on August 19, and then officially cancelled it on August 22. Megan Wants a Millionaire completed its filming at the end of March, and the winning contestant is yet unknown. The show only aired for three episode before VH1 cancelled it.

Jenkins was also a contestant VH1′s I Love Money 3, which was filmed shortly after the filming of Megan Wants a Millionaire. The show was scheduled to air in January 2010, but now its airing is very much in question.

VH1′s official statement on its website reads, “Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation and our thoughts go out to the victim’s family.”
