R&B singer Chris Brown will perform on Nov. 29 at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, as part of a “fan appreciation tour” of small and medium-sized venues, concert promoter Live Nation announced on Wednesday.

Brown, who had a No. 1 album at age 16 in 2005, was headlining arenas not long ago and drawing comparisons to Usher and Michael Jackson. His fortunes plunged after he was arrested in Los Angeles in February for striking pop singer Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time.

Brown, 20, pleaded guilty to felony assault in June in a deal that mandated probation, community service and a restraining order.

He is attempting to restart his career with a new album, Graffiti, and a series of high-profile public appearances. Two songs from the forthcoming album are in circulation. The latest, a heavy-hearted ballad titled Crawl, might prompt speculation about his feelings for Rihanna. “Everybody says we’re through,” Brown sings. “I hope you haven’t said it, too”
