The trailer to the upcoming drama, ‘Precious: Based on the novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire,’ has surfaced on the Web.
It premiered on both Oprah Winfrey’s and Tyler Perry’s Web sites and was shown on the talk show diva’s show.
‘Precious,’ which won three awards at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, including the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award in the U.S. Dramatic Competition, is set to be shown this month at the Cannes Film Festival.
The cast includes Mo’Nique, Paula Patton, Mariah Carey, Sherri Shepherd, Lenny Kravitz and Gabourey Sidibe.
Many who have seen the film have said that Mo’Nique is definitely a shoo-in for an Oscar nomination.

Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons. The first full trailer of “Madea Goes to Jail” is making its round. Unlike its teaser which highlights on Madea’s arrest by a band of police, this video footage reveals more on the movie itself, focusing more on the other characters, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Hardaway and young prostitute and former drug addict Candace Washington, and how the two grow closer together.
